I was excited to find this rare commercial produced by José Luis Moro's "Estudios Moro". The studio, run by José and his brother Santiago from 1955 through 1970 produced many animated commercials in addition to the animated series The Cantinflas Show and La Familia Telerin. via boingboing

SCARY EARTHQUAKE TODAY!

Got back from Florida last night, just in time for the earthquake today. Really scary but no damage. A few things fell, everything shook, and my coffee spilled all over my sister's TV. Some power outages around Santa Monica but thats it. I hope I do not feel one of those ever again.

Christie's Auctions Off James Brown's Possessions

After being contested by two of Brown's former business managers, Christie's hosted the James Brown Collection auction today, something his children were also unhappy about and planned on protesting.

The sale went on, however, and around 350 lots from Brown's South Carolina home were on the block earlier today. Official figures aren't in yet, but the sale was expected to take in nearly $2 million. $32,500 of that came from musician Paul Shaffer who bid on Brown's medical bracelet...meanwhile the Godfather of Soul's Hammond organ only went for $10,000. Teenager finds baby bat in her bra

A teenager was stunned to find that a baby bat had been curled up inside her bra for five hours - as she was wearing it.

Miss Hawkins said the bat looked 'very snug' inside her bra

Abbie Hawkins, a hotel receptionist, thought her mobile phone was ringing when she felt vibrations coming from her clothes.

But she later discovered the tiny creature tucked away in the padded pocket of her underwear.

As staff and colleagues crowded around, Miss Hawkins, 19, produced the frightened bat, which was the size of her hand.
